1940 5c-10Col Pan-American Health Day, without overprints
Set of all fourteen postage and air post issue. These issues were originally issued for the American Congress of the Child, but the issue was cancelled at the outbreak of World War II. The issue was then overprinted in 1946 to commemorate the Pan American Health Day. o.g., n.h., 1.35Col with small tear, 25c and 10Col with minor horizontal crease, very fine. It is believed less than fifteen sets escaped the overprinting, a modern rarity of Costa Rica.
